Best app of 2014

Hey everyone, It's Christina here!

It's coming up to the most wonderful time of the year... CHRISTMAS!!! I want to start off by wishing everyone a very merry Christmas and a safe and happy new year!! This year has been filled with many ups and downs but wouldn't change any of it!!

As my last post for the year I've discovered an app that is equally as exciting as receiving presents on Christmas Day!! Being a lover of fashion I love to brainstorm my ideas and I usually sketch a lot of my fashion creations. But when I'm bored and because I never carry a notepad with me I can never doodle my ideas when I want to. My holy grail app of 2014 is polyvore. This app allows you to create outfits and lay them out to vision what looks good together and what doesn't. It also lets you publish your creations to Share with everyone else whilst seeing what other people create! I have nothing but positive things to say about this app. I believe it's helped me become stronger with my design process and is amazing when planning my outfit. Instead of raving my wardrobe to see what looks good, I use this app which helps me! The best part of all is its free!

I know this will be a favourite of mine for a long time and would love to know and see your creations used on this website. Leave me your designs and creations as well as feedback!  And don't forget to check out my Twitter: @christinaclemmo and my Instagram: @Christinariitano

Xoxo Christina.

Below are a few of my favourite creations I put together :)

Quickest Make-Up tips that will change your morning routine

Hey everyone, Its Christina here!

For my blog post today I'm posting something different that helped me out a lot when starting to wear make-up. I learnt these really quick, easy and effective make-up tips that will change your make up result for the better! I hope you enjoy! If any of you guys have ideas or tricks leave them in the comments!

1. Eyebrows

Eyebrows never used to be apart of my everyday make-up routine. I used to just get them shaped and I left them just how they were. I only recently started filling in my eyebrows, but on lazy days (which I mostly have) I can never be bothered filling them in. A good trick I learnt is to brush them upwards instead of inwards. This gives the illusion of fuller eyebrows and for lazy people like me its effective and super quick!

2. Brightening your under eyes

I normally have very bad under eye circles and it always makes me look tired and drags down my whole appearance. Naturally to brighten under your eyes I was told to put tea bags under your eyes but aint nobody got time for that. To make your eyes look naturally brighter and hide your under eye circles, once you've applied your base (foundation), with a concealer that's a shade lighter than your normal colour, conceal the area and bring it up to your eyelid. This will give a really good base for your eye shadow and make the colours pop. You can blend this in with a brush or your fingers (which I find more effective). To keep in place, set with translucent powder or normal setting powder. This will help it stay put and not crease.

3. Long luscious lashes

Lashes for me are the best asset of peoples faces because it adds definition and can change a whole look! This step can often be missed because people feel it doesn't help but the proof is in the results. Curling lashes does not hurt as much as it looks like a painful machine that latches on to your lashes. It will feel uncomfortable and make you blink more than you ever have in your entire life but I assure you its worth it.  ***TIP*** look away from the curler (either to the sides or downwards) this helps you focus on something other than the curler and will stop you from blinking uncontrollably. Not only does curling lift your lashes, it also helps when applying mascara and will stop your lashes from clumping together.

 4. Bigger eyes

Always wanted the illusion of bigger eyes and to look more awake in the mornings? I thought so... here is the quickest, easiest and most uncomplicated method in your life, its beyond ridiculous. Wipe your lower lash line with a Q tip (ear cleaner, this helps remove excess oil on your lashes), and here's my big secret! Add a generous coat of white eyeliner. It's really that simple!!!

 5. Fuller lashes

The most effective way to achieve fuller lashes without 100 coats of mascara or false eyelashes is applying a coat of black eyeliner on your waterline. Its important to add it to the waterline and not on top of your eyelashes because applying on the waterline gives a shadow effect and makes your lash line appear darker and fuller of luscious lashes!
